Electricity Access Assessment in Mozambique

Case Study with the Microbanco Confianca

Summary

The aim of this case study is to assess and analyze the level of access to energy of a sample of clients of Microbanco Confiança, and to test the applicability of the HEDERA Impact Toolkit in the target rural region (including the HEDERA collect mobile App and the software for data analysis and evaluation). The data collection has been performed by two loan officers, in the offices of Boane and Magude.
Microbanco Confiança is a microfinance institution, established in 2017, providing small loans for smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs in the rural areas of Maputo Province (Southern Mozambique).
