Photo & video exhibition
Berlin, 1-5 November, 2021
November 1-5, 2021, the week after the online seminar, a physical photo & video exhibition will take place, showcasing the material gathered from participating Rwandan organizations.
The exhibition will include audio recordings, videos (including 360° videos), and photos. The aim is to enable the audience to see for themselves the protagonists of the energy transition in Rwanda, how they work, who they are, and their urban and rural realities.
Furthermore, the definition of energy access and the pathways for a transition to cleaner fuels will be shown, providing the audience with a deeper understanding of the energy transition at the local level.
Photographer
Himbaza Pacifique, a Rwandan professional photographer has been selected among many other photographers in
the country for this project.
Himbaza has more than 10 years of experience in different sectors of photography,
and holds an advanced diploma in art of photography and a TVET certificate in video editing.

conducting projects in Rwanda and looks forward to expand across the region and overseas.
Moreover, Himbaza is also owner and the main artist at INGANZO ART CAFE, an exhibition and performing site

The energy transition in Africa is only making slow progress—and this despite the fact that electricity demand on the continent is set to double within the next ten years. Fossil fuel-based power generation will jeopardize the achievement of climate protection targets.
Through the exhibition, the definition of energy access and the pathways for a transition to cleaner fuels will be shown, enabling the audience to grasp the concept of modern energy access.
