Survey: Green Microfinance in the MENA Region
This survey has the purpose to picture the status of green microfinance in the MENA region, in terms
of existing initiatives, practices, and interests.
Participating institutions will be acknowledged in the final publication and will have the
opportunity of attending follow-up training events focused on the development, the implementation, and
the monitoring of green microfinance products and practices.

The survey aims to get a better understanding of the green microfinance sector’s current level of development, MFIs’ green microfinance needs,
and the extent to which MFIs are complying with local and international standards and regulations.
Through the upcoming publication, we would like to share with the sector what institutions are doing and what they
know about environmental protection, as well as highlight where support is needed and what MFIs think about integrating
an environmental sustainability approach at the institutional and client level.
That is your choice. If you would like the name of your institution and your responses to be mentioned with your name, please let us know in the comments at the end of the survey.
Survey contributors will receive access to materials for the Greening MFIs Online Workshop, which will take place the first week of September. Access to materials such as recordings, presentations, and speakers' contacts will be provided through the HEDERA Training platform. The workshop is free but has a limited number of spots.
You should fill out the survey by August 10th if you want your institution to be included in the upcoming publication. However, the survey will be open and receive answers also afterwards.
The report will be published in September.
