Multidimensional Impact of Improved Energy Access
Exploring the nexus between women empowerment through improved clean modern energy listening to wonderful leaders in the energy sector.
Live translations to Spanish, French and Arabic will be available
The impact of energy access is multidimensional.
In communities with poor infrastructure, enhancing access to
affordable and clean energy services contributes to better quality of life, improves productivity of
small businesses, reduces consumption of polluting fuels and biomass
(and, hence, adverse environmental impacts), and fights climate vulnerabilities of households and businesses.
Moreover, it supports the empowerment of
women, who, in rural communities, are at most responsible for collecting biomass fuel and the
most exposed to health risks.
This series of webinars will feature leader speakers working in the energy access sectors from different
perspectives: networks, regulatory, impact assessment, research, green inclusive finance, and digitization, to foster transdisciplinary
discussions and collaborative actions, identify the nexus between the different dimensions of impact, and support
committed institutions working in developing countries.
The series of webinars is organized by HEDERA Sustainable Solutions in the context of the project Impact-Driven and Action-Based Research
(IMPACT-R).
Topics
- Impact of improved cooking solutions on women empowerment
- Monitoring and evaluation of clean energy funding programs
- Assessment and measurement frameworks for energy access with gender focus
- Health and climate vulnerability at the household level
